Born in Johannesburg in 1970.

Education & Teaching
Graduated in Industrial Design at Cape Technikon 1992.
Short course - Natural Step - Principals of Sustainability 2003.
Part time lecturing at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Industrial Design Department 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students 2002 – 2004.
House & Leisure design competition mentorship 2007 - 2009
Short course on Biomimicry Design 2010.
Cross Pollination design workshop 2011.
Part time lecturing Elizabeth Galloway Fashion Academy 2nd year students 2011.

Career
Employed by Richard Sparks Product Design 1993.
Established first business - Brave New World in 1994.
Animal CD Racks manufactured under licence by Aero London for 4 years from 1994.
Established Green Space Product Design with Jamii Hamlin & John Vogel 1995 -1996, designed Daddy Long Legs Chair for BMW / Imax Pavilion (pictured right).
John Vogel becomes 50% partner in Brave New World 1996.
Designed Sabi Sabi - Earth Lodge furniture 2000.
Closed Brave New World 2002.
Established HALDANE MARTIN furniture 2002.
First large contract Arrabella Sheraton CTICC 1000 x Weightless bedroom chairs.
Began exporting to Europe & North America with Swala Line 2006 - 2009.
Established HALDANE MARTIN interiors 2011.
Established retail showroom Woodstock, Cape Town 2012.
Designed first large scale interior project - Truth Coffee HQ 2012.
