2012 marks my 20th year as a professional designer – a propitious time to ask myself what my values are as a designer?

I believe in personifying objects and spaces with unique character so that we can relate to them in an intimate way.

I believe in integrating conceptual depth, aesthetic beauty and elegant functionality into one seamless whole.

I believe in creating iconic designs that inspire my fellow human beings and contribute to the evolution of culture.

These three values form a common thread weaving all of my shifting interests together which include, South African cultural identity, biomimetics, sustainability, craft, digital design and complex geometry.
