Conde Nast House & Garden: Haldane Martin’s Sim-ply chair

Conde Nast House & Garden: Haldane Martin’s Sim-ply chair.

Pull up a chair from iconic designer Haldane Martin’s new collection

Haldane Martin has designed a new on-trend, affordable hospitality and residential chair collection called Sim-ply.

The collection was initially launched at Design Jo’burg in May 2017 and is significantly different to the signature Haldane Martin style. The range was consciously created for interior designers and the hospitality market.

The Sim-ply collection includes a dining chair, a lounge chair, and a barstool in two heights. The seats and backs are made from moulded Ash veneered birch plywood and an optional upholstered pad for additional comfort. The cross frame and legs are made from solid Ash, and the chair is assembled with stainless steel hardware.

The upholstered pads are available in a selection of velvets, felts, prints and leathers, and the wood components are available in natural Ash and a selection of colour spray finishes.

Haldane Martin has plans to produce a range of café tables, dining tables, coffee tables and side tables with similar rounded forms. Take a look at of the divine designs from the Sim-Ply chair range in the gallery above.
