The Sim-ply lounge chair is the first design for Haldane Martin’s commercial hospitality and residential furniture range.
The Sim-ply collection name is derived from the simple curved plywood seats, backs and arms. The collection is visually distinctive for its simple rounded forms, cute proportions, friendly finishes and an unusually wide backrest that hugs the sitter.
The seats, backs and arms are made from moulded birch plywood with an Ash surface veneer. The cross frame and legs are made from solid Ash, and the chair is assembled with brass plated steel hardware. The lounge chairs with arms is completely upholstered. The lounge chair without arms comes in 3 combinations of veneered plywood and upholstered seats and backs.
The chairs are available in the Home Fabrics Chamonix velvet fabric collection of 53 colours for the upholstered pads, with the wood components Duco sprayed to colour match the luxurious fabric. Our favourite 7 colours of the moment are indicated on the spec sheets.
Customers may also supply their own fabric or leather for the upholstery and choose from a range of 9500 Standard NCS colours for the Duco finish sprayed wood components.
Launched Design Joburg 2017.
